The energy efficiency rating scale was revised in 2021 to make it clearer and more future-proof. The new classes range from A to G and replace the old A+, A++, and A+++ ratings.

LED lights rated F or G today were often rated A+++ in the past – their technology has not become less efficient. The scale simply became significantly stricter. At present, only highly specialized LED spotlights with cold, uninviting light achieve classes A to D.

Comfortable LED lights with warm light, dimming capability, and high color rendering almost always fall into classes E, F, or G. This is not due to poor efficiency, but to deliberately chosen light quality. The difference in electricity costs is often only €3–4 per year – even with daily use.

The light has three different lighting modes that can be used as needed and are set via a button on the light. In the first mode, the light remains off as long as no movement is detected. As soon as a person enters the detection range, the light automatically switches to 100% brightness, providing targeted illumination. In the second mode, the light is constantly illuminated at a soft base brightness of approximately 10%. If the sensor detects movement, the brightness automatically increases to 100%, thus providing orientation and security. In the third mode, the light is constantly on at a low base brightness, and the motion sensor is deactivated. This mode is ideal for creating a pleasant, ambient light in the evenings.

Assembly is quick and easy. A suitable wall bracket is included, which you attach to the wall with just two screws. The light is then simply hung in the bracket – no complicated installation or wiring required.

The integrated battery lasts approximately 15 to 20 hours, depending on the selected mode. The light recharges automatically during the day via the powerful solar panel. For optimal charging performance, it should be positioned so that the solar panel receives direct sunlight and is not shaded by trees, walls, or other obstacles.
