Q: Why do LED lights have an energy efficiency rating of F or G?

The energy efficiency rating scale was revised in 2021 to make it clearer and more future-proof. The new classes range from A to G and replace the old A+, A++, and A+++ ratings. LED lights rated F or G today were often rated A+++ in the past – their technology has not become less efficient. The scale simply became significantly stricter. At present, only highly specialized LED spotlights with cold, uninviting light achieve classes A to D. Comfortable LED lights with warm light, dimming capability, and high color rendering almost always fall into classes E, F, or G. This is not due to poor efficiency, but to deliberately chosen light quality. The difference in electricity costs is often only €3–4 per year – even with daily use.

Die Aufhängeleiste als Blech im Inneren der Lampe ist dermassen billig verarbeitet, das Metall ist zu dünn und zu sehr flexibel, so dass die Leiste sich unter dem Eigengewicht der Leuchte Learis mit 4 Strahlern durchbiegt und das Gehäuse deshalb sehr arg nach unten hängt. So sieht man die verbogene Leiste und die im Gehöuse versteckze Kabelage dann leider unschön über dem Gehäuse von der Decke hängen.

Ich mochte die Lampe dennoch behalten, und hier nur einen Kommentar zur Produktion abgeben.
Ich habe mir mit einem stabileren Aluminium-Lochblechprofil aus dem Baumarkt beholfen und die mitgelieferte Blechleiste dadurch ersetzt.
Das war nötig, weil ich die Lampe auf einem drehbaren Sockel (Lightswing) anbringen wollte und sie deshalb nur in der Mitte der Leiste anschrauben konnte.
Die mitgelieferte Befestigungsleiste ist dafür viel zu schwach und sollte so meiner Meinung nach nicht ausgeliefert werden.
Damit kann man die Lampe nicht ordentlich aufhängen, jedenfalls nicht mit nur 2-4 Bohrlöchern. Dazu müsste man alle 10 cm entlang der 1m langen „Schwabbelleiste“je ein Loch bohren….

Ansonsten ist die Lampe sehr schön.
Schwarz matt, perfekt steuerbar, reagiert schnell auf Knopfdruck und auch nach Stromausfall verbindet sich die Lampe ruckizucki und man muss nicht lange warten, bis der Schalter reagiert (anders bei Hue, da muss erst das Hub hochfahren…)
Das Licht, die Farbtemperaureinstellung, und die Dimmfunktion (in Stufen, nicht stufenlos),
die variable Kabelaufhängung und die Option, die Länge der Hängelampen mit wenigen Handgriffen von aussen am Gehöuse auch nach der Montage noch zu verändern, ist sehr gut umgesetzt.
Insgesamt hätte ich mir einen zusätzlichen Kabelzugang in der Mitte der Leuchte gewünscht- ich bin seitlich nun durch einen Lüftungsschlitz-
hier gehts nur vorn und hinten an den Längsseiten mit Stromkabeln ins Gehäuse rein (um die Leuchte an einer anderen Stelle zu montieren, als dort, wo der Strom aus der Decke kommt).
Apple Smart Home Integration wäre wünschenswert, Austausch der Leuchtmittel gegen Philips Hue
-Leuchten ebenfalls wünschenswert und für die Zukunft ein Add on auf jeden Fall wert!

Insgesamt schöne Lampe, allerdings sehr ärgerlich, dass die Montage wegen der zu schwachen Leiste „nicht mal eben so einfach“ war.

Tolle Tischlampe

Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit dieser wunderschönen Lampe über unserem Esszimmertisch. Sie gibt ein sehr schönes Licht und dies sowohl in warmen wie auch kalten Töne. Die Montage war einfach und problemlos.

Das ist eine sehr gut aussehend und hochwertig verarbeitete Lampe .
Habe sie gestern montiert, ging einfach und schnell. Die Anbindung an App und Alexa war problemlos und funktioniert tadellos. Die preisleistung und der Komfort ist zu anderen Designer Lampen top.
Bei anderen Designer Lampen hat mann oft weniger Funktionen aber dafür fast den doppelten preis.
Diese Lampe würde ich zu jeder Zeit wieder kaufen, also von mir eine klare Empfehlung.

What size is right for my dining table – M or L, 3- or 4-burner?

This is the most important question before buying, as size confusion is the most common reason for returns of the Learis. As a rule of thumb: the light should be about 2/3 the length of the table. For a dining table 140–160 cm long, we recommend the 3-light version (90 cm), and for tables 180–200 cm and longer, the 4-light version (120 cm). Regarding the lamp head size: M (40 x 4 cm) appears slimmer and more discreet, while L (60 x 6 cm) is significantly larger and has a strong presence in the room – L often looks smaller in photos than it actually is. If in doubt: simply stick a piece of painter's tape of the appropriate length to your ceiling – this helps enormously in judging the size. If you are unsure, we recommend size M rather than L.

Does the Learis light up the entire room or just the table?

The Learis is a directional pendant lamp: its light heads direct the light downwards onto the table. This creates a beautiful, focused table light and a great look – but it doesn't illuminate the entire room and leaves people sitting at the sides of the table in a bit of semi-darkness. If you're primarily looking for general room lighting, it's best to combine the Learis with an additional ceiling or wall light. It's not designed to be the sole light source in a room.

How bright is the Learis – is it bright enough for my table?

With up to 1072 lm (4-light) or 804 lm (3-light), the Learis is designed for cozy table lighting – not maximum brightness. Since the light is dimmable and adjustable from 2200–6000 K, you can flexibly adapt the ambiance. If that sounds too dim: The L size (60 x 6 cm) has a higher light output than the M size, and a lower mounting position brings the light closer to the table. For very large dining tables over 220 cm or open-plan kitchen-living areas of approximately 30 m² or more, we recommend supplementing with additional light sources.

Do I have to connect the light to the app?

You can also control the light using only the remote control—but we recommend connecting it to the Tuya or Smart Life app. This keeps your light’s firmware up to date, helps prevent potential malfunctions, and allows you to perform updates immediately when needed.
