Warum haben LED-Leuchten eine Energieeffizienzklasse von F oder G?

Die Bewertungsskala für Energieeffizienz wurde 2021 überarbeitet, um sie klarer und zukunftssicherer zu gestalten. Die neuen Klassen reichen von A bis G und ersetzen die alten A+, A++ und A+++.

LED-Leuchten, die heute mit F oder G bewertet sind, waren früher oft A+++ – ihre Technik hat sich nicht verschlechtert. Die Skala wurde einfach deutlich strenger. Klassen A bis D erreichen aktuell nur hochspezialisierte LED-Strahler mit kaltem, unwohnlichem Licht.

Wohnliche LED-Leuchten mit warmem Licht, Dimmbarkeit und hoher Farbwiedergabe landen fast immer bei E, F oder G. Das liegt nicht an schlechter Effizienz, sondern an bewusster Lichtqualität. Der Unterschied in den Stromkosten liegt oft bei nur 3–4 € pro Jahr – selbst bei täglicher Nutzung.

For which rooms and setup situations is the Mavea suitable – and when is it not suitable?

The Mavea is an arc lamp with a sweeping curve that deliberately commands space and acts as a design element. It's ideally suited next to a sofa or armchair in a living room of at least 20 square meters – there, the arc unfolds its full effect and provides ample distance from furniture and walls. In small rooms, tight corners, or under sloping ceilings, it can quickly appear oversized. It's important to know that the lamp shines downwards, not into the room – it illuminates an area directly beneath the arc, not the entire room. Anyone looking for a lamp that brightens the whole room won't be satisfied with the Mavea alone. However, it works very well as accent lighting next to the sofa or as mood lighting.

How can I control the lamp?

How long does it take to assemble the lamp?

We recommend that you allow approximately 10 minutes for the assembly of our Mavea floor lamp. The lamp consists of three parts: the base, stand, and light element, which are attached with screws.

How big is the Mavea really – and how does it look in the room?

The Mavea is a full-fledged arc lamp: its curved arm spans approximately 120 cm horizontally, reaching a total height of about 165 cm. Product photos show it in large, bright living rooms, which makes the lamp appear slimmer and lighter than it would in smaller spaces. A simple test before buying: place two books or objects at the distance the arc would span and see if it fits in your room. The lamp's arc length is not adjustable – the curve is fixed.
