The energy efficiency rating scale was revised in 2021 to make it clearer and more future-proof. The new classes range from A to G and replace the old A+, A++, and A+++.

LED luminaires that are now rated F or G often used to be A+++ – their technology hasn't deteriorated. The scale has simply become significantly stricter. Currently, only highly specialized LED spotlights with cold, uninviting light achieve classes A to D.

Homely LED lights with warm light, dimmability, and high color rendering almost always land in the E, F, or G ratings. This isn't due to poor efficiency, but rather to deliberate lighting quality. The difference in electricity costs is often only €3–4 per year—even with daily use.

The Omeva is a striking statement lamp: its outer ring has a diameter of 80 cm – roughly the size of a small dining table. Above a table 160 cm or longer, it appears balanced and airy; above a table under 120 cm or in small rooms under 18 m², it can dominate the space. A simple test before buying: stick painter's tape in an 80 cm circle on your table and take a step back – it gives a surprisingly realistic impression. The Omeva is primarily a room light, not a task light. Its three concentric rings radiate light evenly in all directions, creating a warm, balanced atmosphere throughout the room. However, it doesn't illuminate the table surface as precisely as a linear pendant light. This is a significant advantage for a dining room where you want to create a cozy ambiance in the evenings. For those needing focused table light for work or crafts, the Omeva is best complemented with a dedicated, focused light source.

The hanging height can be continuously adjusted between approximately 10 and 200 cm – both before and after installation, using the pin mechanism on the canopy. The easiest way is to roughly set the desired height before permanently attaching the light. Once installed, the height is locked in place and is not a mechanism for everyday use – those who wish to adjust the light daily by pulling it should opt for a light with a true pulley system.
