sustainability

Our 4-point plan for sustainable online retail

1. Repair instead of throwing away

We believe that defective items should not simply be thrown away. The majority of all damaged products can usually be repaired with little effort, as often only small individual parts no longer function. We live this philosophy at our location in Münster. For this purpose, we have We've integrated a workshop into our warehouse where defective lights are repaired. This allows our customers to send in their lights for repair free of charge during the warranty period – and even after the warranty period has expired, we offer our repair service for a small fee. This way, we reduce waste, conserve resources, and create jobs.

2. Offset transport emissions

While our shipping partners DPD & GLS already enable climate-neutral transport to the end customer, we ensure that the transport of our goods from production to the warehouse is handled in a CO2-neutral manner, or that the resulting emissions are subsequently offset by supporting climate projects.

3. Reduce packaging material

To reduce packaging material and waste, we are continuously optimizing our product packaging to make all our luminaires more compact. This not only saves packaging material but also increases the number of items that can be moved between production and warehouse facilities in a single shipment. This allows us to reduce the number of shipments and lower emissions.

4. Sustainable returns

Unlike other large online retailers, we don't simply discard returns without checking them. Thanks to our modern warehouse and returns portal, we've been able to develop processes that inspect and process every incoming return. This not only enables us to use raw materials more sustainably, but also reduces waste.
